I’m the inaugural Director of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Teaching Professor in the Bruce D. Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization at the University of Colorado Boulder. Before coming to CU, I was the Nancy Schaenen Endowed Visiting Scholar of Ethics at DePauw University. I received my PhD in philosophy from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2022.
I specialize in social and political philosophy, PPE (philosophy, politics, and economics), and ethics (especially bioethics). I’m also interested in the history of philosophy and the intersection of philosophy and history, literature, religion, and other fields.
I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. Before my PhD, I studied philosophy and religion at Harvard University. In my free time, I enjoy learning languages, weightlifting, and writing poetry.
